Summer may be one of the more stressful times of the year for your trees. Luckily there are steps you can take in order to prevent damage and future healthy concerns. Here are 5 tips to help you take care of your trees this summer:
- Inspect: Check your trees routinely for cracks, broken limbs or any other structure damage. Especially if your tree is older, be sure to take notice of branches & the top center canopy. This is often the spot where health stress shows first.
- Water: If you endure a dry period, be sure to give your trees some water. Throughout drought conditions, simply leave a hose underneath the tree.
- Prune: Summer is a fantastic time of the year to remove and prune any lose or broken limbs. During a rough winter and spring, it is common to find these broken limbs. You should though limit too much live limb pruning.
- Schedule a tree health evaluation: Whether you have noticed any problems or not, Kelley Tree is happy to provide you with tree health services. We do more then just removing trees, we are here to make sure your trees are looking and living a healthy life.
